How does it works ?
You want to be able to hear your grandfather, uncle, aunt, or friend talk about their life. You simply want your grandchildren to know about your life, your values, and some life lessons you want them to remember 10, 20, or even 30 years from now.
You have come to the right place.
We are going to make this experience as simple as possible.
Schedule an appointment on a date that suits you best.
Preparation: we have a short conversation to better understand the life story you want to tell.
The Interview: we come on the agreed date for a 2-hour interview.
The Keepsake: You will receive a USB drive containing the interview.
Sharing: Your family will be able to rediscover and cherish your story. For you and them you view and enjoy forever.
Throughout the whole process, we can adjust the date at any time up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
How long does the interview last?
The interview is a 2-hour session, which we propose to split into two main acts.
Act 1: We sit and talk about your life story, your family, and your work. This helps set the foundation for understanding what shaped you.
Act 2: We walk, cook, or do whatever you enjoy doing, allowing you to share your passions—past or present—and what they have meant to you.
Who can be with me during the interview?
Anyone you want.
We usually plan the interview as a one-on-one experience—a personal moment where you can share, be vulnerable, open, joyful, and reflective. It’s a moment to celebrate the story of your life.
That said, it’s entirely up to you to decide the format in which you feel most comfortable. Just let us know during the interview preparation.
Which areas do you operate in?
For now, we only conduct interviews in the Bay Area. However, if you’d like to schedule an interview and live somewhere else, don’t let that stop you. Simply reach out by email, share your location, and we’ll see what we can do.
What should I wear?
Wear the clothes that make you feel your best.
This is all about you feeling comfortable. It’s your time—a moment to celebrate your life.
And finally …
Bring your madeleine
In the novel Remembrance of Things Past, the narrator dips a small cake—a madeleine—into tea, and it immediately brings back long-forgotten childhood memories.
Bring your own madeleine. Choose a sentimental object—a book, a sweater, or anything meaningful to you, that you’d like to talk about. Something that helps tell your story.
Once again, this is your special moment to share your life journey.
